A Volunteers Organization
The primary Aims of the Association is to bring into reality the renewable energy potential that exist in our planet into real provision of useful energy for the people by the realization of dedicated projects.
“Useful energy” is meant here as the energy that can be used for the alleviation of extreme poverty. The general objective will then be to attain any of the following 8 human basic needs (Source: “Indicators of Poverty and Hunger “)
- Food: Body Mass Index must be above 16.
- Safe drinking water: Water must not come from solely rivers and ponds, and must be available nearby (less than 15 minutes’ walk each way).
- Sanitation facilities: Toilets or latrines must be accessible in or near the home.
- Health: Treatment must be received for serious illnesses and pregnancy.
- Shelter: Homes must have fewer than four people living in each room. Floors must not be made of dirt, mud, or clay.
- Education: Everyone must attend school or otherwise learn to read.
- Information: Everyone must have access to newspapers, radios, televisions, computers, or telephones at home.
- Access to services: This item is undefined by Gordon, but normally is used to indicate the complete panoply of education, health, legal, social, and financial (credit) services.
As an example, the energy production could find its application in the production of food or means for the production/processing/conservation of food, drinking water, building materials etc.
- This organization is created on the belief that beyond the borders of countries, cultures and religions there is a most essential human kind brotherhood that shares the very same dream of peace for the people of this planet. Those who believe in this dream are most welcome to join us in the realization of it.
- The organization is operated through the action of its volunteers who will contribute to the project with their time, knowledge and competence.
- The final goal of the Association is to support the mitigation of extreme poverty inspired on the Article 25 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights that affirms that, “Everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well-being of himself and his family, including food…” and Article 11 of the International Covenant on Economic Social and Cultural Rights (ICESCR) that states “…the fundamental right of everyone to be free from hunger…”.
- Considering that Energy is the basic source of life on our planet (the sun is the source of Energy for the Earth), and being available everywhere in different forms, it can be made reachable to the small isolated populations in which extreme poverty prevails today, by donating knowledge, know how, and work by the volunteers of this Association and its partners and/or friends.
